Ardlethan is a small rural centre in the northern Riverina. Ardlethan Central acts as the hub school for the Riverina Access Program consisting of Ardlethan Barellan, Ariah Park and Hillston Central Schools. Senior secondary students study for their HSC via video conference links across the four schools. This program is unique in schools in Australia. Our school aims to be the leading community school in NSW, achieving this status by applying process-based learning, especially utilising and working in technology.
We work to achieve this by: developing our students as resourceful, independent achievers with high self esteem; ensuring staff are highly motivateed, innnovative and supportive of their students and each other; and making the school a positive learning envronment for all the community, with a happy, caring atmosphere. The school also focuses on developing a family atmosphere with a seamless progression from Kindergarten to Year 12. There is a clear emphasis on traditional Australian values in the school's work and activities.
